The Chef Academy program is a professional development opportunity for school food service managers to build culinary skills and inspire creativity for school food service environments. The program’s success is seen through newly developed menu items, developed on-site by cafeteria staff for full school division implementation.
All of our culinary training programs are custom-designed to focus on the needs in your district. Programming is situated at our partner location, Willowsford Farm in Ashburn, VA. The location provides a professional environment that promotes team building and an enhanced atmosphere to make all attendees feel valued and appreciated. Training can take place in your district, too! Chef Bonnie Moore, Culinary Director at Willowsford and RFFK board member, conducts all training.
Typical programs are set up as four 1/2-day sessions or two full days. The program includes planning calls with Chef Bonnie to target training needs and session goals.
