2019 Culinary Challenge - Details & Documents

Real Food for Kids is sponsoring its 7th annual Culinary Challenge on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at George Mason University. The Culinary Challenge is open to middle and high school student teams and provides a way for students to learn about and promote healthy eating, encourages team work, and highlights student culinary talents to a wide audience.

Students may enter a team in the judged Lunch Competition (Flavor Forecast for School Food) and/or the non-judged Showcase (School Breakfast or Smart Snack). Teams in both categories are challenged to create a delicious and appealing school food item with consideration to nutritional balance. With the Lunch Competition, students face added recipe, cost, presentation, and nutritional requirements.

Real Food for Kids will select up to 12 teams for the Competition category; there is no limit to teams in the Showcase.  Please review the Team Details and Documents for more information. Registration is open at the link below and closes October 10, 2018.
